First Spouse Gold Coin Specifications


The First Spouse Gold Commemorative Coin Program was enabled by Public Law 109-145 passed by Congress and signed by President George W. Bush on December 22, 2005. The purpose of the program is to honor the First Spouses of the United States of America.

Each coin is legal tender in the United States and carries a face value of $10. The coins are minted in 24 karat gold and contains one half ounce of gold. Further specifications on the coin are below.
