The US Mint recently published the upcoming release date of the next coin in the First Spouse Gold Coin Program. The coin honoring Louisa Adams will be released on May 29, 2008.
The Louisa Adams First Spouse Gold coin will be the sixth in the series and the second release of 2008.
The front of the coin will feature a portrait of the First Lady. The back of the coin will depict Louisa Adams and her eight year old son making a journey across Europe to join her husband in Paris. Each coin will contain 1/2 ounce of 24 karat gold and have a $10 face value.
